Cloakroom

THE BRIEF

The aim was to completely rethink the entrance-hall cloakroom, transforming it from a dated, overlooked space into a bold and functional room that made an immediate impression

THE DETAILS

The entrance-hall cloakroom was completely refreshed, with metallic Koi Carp wallpaper from HookedOnWalls wrapping the space and reflecting light throughout.

A Japanese WC, statement basin with gold tapware and an oversized mirror enhance both function and the sense of space, while bespoke plaster cornicing ties the room seamlessly back to the entrance hall.

THE RESULT

The cloakroom now feels brighter, more generous and far more considered.

Strong finishes and simple, well-chosen details have turned a once-forgettable space into one that works beautifully and sets the tone as you enter the home.

CLIENT WORDS

“Lisa has been my interior designer for the last four years, during which time she has completed a wide range of projects.

She has a bold, creative eye and can be relied on to provide a unique personal design. She loves colour, so give her a wide berth if your preference is monochrome minimalism.

Her knowledge of materials, products and suppliers is impressive. She is also selective in her choice of tradesmen. Woe betides any client who challenges her choices!

Over the years I have learned it is wiser (and safer) to defer to her excellent taste and unerring judgement which always produces results far better than I anticipated.

I have long lost count of the accolades, as her finished work invariably draws compliments from even the most discerning and demanding of guests. Keeping her to budget requires more strength than I could ever muster, but her value long outlasts her prices”
