Formal Guest Bathoom
THE BRIEF
The aim was to create a sophisticated, luxurious bathroom designed with both extended family and guests in mind — that felt calm, welcoming and considered, offering a hotel-like experience for both family and guests.
THE DETAILS
The bathroom was designed in collaboration with a local supplier, featuring the Armani Casa range.
To introduce depth and atmosphere, the ceiling was subtly lowered to allow for recessed LED and central lighting. A smoked glass screen separates the shower from the bath, adding definition without compromising flow. The vanity unit features twin shagreen basins with luxe gold hardware, echoed throughout the space. Neutral greige tiles are paired with an Arte wallcovering, the look is finished with gold-framed mirrors and lighting.
THE RESULT
A polished, hotel-style bathroom with depth, warmth and quiet drama.
Layered lighting and smoked glass add structure without closing the space in, while rich textures and soft greige tones keep it timeless.
Gold detailing brings a subtle hit of glamour, turning the room into a refined, everyday retreat.
CLIENT WORDS
“Lisa has been my interior designer for the last four years, during which time she has completed a wide range of projects.
She has a bold, creative eye and can be relied on to provide a unique personal design. She loves colour, so give her a wide berth if your preference is monochrome minimalism.
Her knowledge of materials, products and suppliers is impressive. She is also selective in her choice of tradesmen.
Woe betides any client who challenges her choices! Over the years I have learned it is wiser (and safer) to defer to her excellent taste and unerring judgement which always produces results far better than I anticipated.
have long lost count of the accolades, as her finished work invariably draws compliments from even the most discerning and demanding of guests.
Keeping her to budget requires more strength than I could ever muster, but her value long outlasts her prices.”
