SOPHISTICATED Master Bedroom
THE BRIEF
There was no fixed direction for the scheme, aside from retaining the existing fireplace.
Having worked together for several years, my client was happy for me to lead on the style and overall feel, allowing the design to evolve naturally into a space that feels considered, personal and effortless
THE DETAILS
The goal was a bedroom that felt masculine and stylish, but also comfortable and easy to unwind in. A striped velvet from Black Edition by Romo sets the tone, bringing structure to the scheme while the colour palette keeps the room soft and relaxed.
The fabric was used for full-length curtains and upholstered pelmets to create a sense of flow. A bespoke super king bed and upholstered headboard anchor the space, paired with textured neutral wallcoverings from Arte.
A deep blue fireplace wall, colour-matched to the curtains, adds depth, while leather and brass furniture and lighting from Julian Chichester finish the room with a quietly confident edge
THE RESULT
A stylish and sophisticated Master Bedroom.
A new, reimagined space that felt like the perfect place to retreat to after a busy day
CLIENT WORDS
“Lisa has been my interior designer for the last four years, during which time she has completed a wide range of projects.
She has a bold, creative eye and can be relied on to provide a unique personal design. She loves colour, so give her a wide berth if your preference is monochrome minimalism.
Her knowledge of materials, products and suppliers is impressive. She is also selective in her choice of tradesmen. Woe betides any client who challenges her choices!
Over the years I have learned it is wiser (and safer) to defer to her excellent taste and unerring judgement which always produces results far better than I anticipated.
I have long lost count of the accolades, as her finished work invariably draws compliments from even the most discerning and demanding of guests. Keeping her to budget requires more strength than I could ever muster, but her value long outlasts her prices.”
