Lighting is one of the most integral design elements when planning a space, and should be one of the first things to consider alongside the electrics. You might want wall lights, switches and sockets in specific places – all of which need to be considered at the start of a project. 

Lighting sets the mood for every room in your house and should be a combination of ambience and functionality. Thinking of each area in your home as a zone, the lighting should match the purpose of that zone. In my lighting design, I love to use different materials and styles in spaces to add interest – lights can really bring the wow factor to a room or staircase.
